Every year at this time we make a special appeal for donations over and above regular membership payments. Our achievements would not be possible without your ongoing assistance.

The GiveBIG Event
The Seattle Foundation is hosting its second annual GiveBIG event on one special day this year - May 2. Donations made through The Seattle Foundation's website will share in a partial matching contribution from The Seattle Foundation, individual donors, and a variety of generous business sponsors. This is an opportunity to support the Museum and have your contribution expanded by GiveBIG. In order for donations to qualify for the partial match:
  • Donations must be made via the Bainbridge Island Historical Society/Museum's page on The Seattle Foundation's online Giving Center
  • They must be made on May 2, 2012, between midnight and midnight, Pacific Time

Donations

Each year the Bainbridge Island Historical Society & Museum must seek crucial contributions to support the many programs we bring you and your family, including:
  • Exhibits
  • Events
  • Summer Camp for Children
  • Cultural & Historical Programs
  • Lectures
  • Demonstrations & Walking Tours

Donations help defray the cost of our programs and are an effective way to support our ongoing operations. Gifts are fully deductible for the current tax year to the extent permitted by law.

Multiply Your Donation

You can double and in some cases, triple the value of your donation to the Bainbridge Island Historical Society & Museum through your employer's matching gift program. Please contact the matching gifts coordinator in your company's Personnel, Human Resources or Community Relations department to obtain a matching gift form and determine whether your gift to the Historical Society may be matched. Just complete the matching gift form and send it to us along with your contribution, and we'll do the rest.

Planned Giving

We encourage planned giving gifts, including gifts of stocks, bonds, securities, annuities, and bequests. Significant tax advantages may result from gifts of appreciated stock or securities, or from bequests or estate gifts provided for in the donor's will. Please consult your financial advisor for specific tax guidance. Our staff will be happy to work with you and your financial advisor or attorney on structuring any planned gift.
